There are two schools of thought about maternity clothes. Some women feel they are a waste of money. These women often buy one or two things and spend the rest of the time in sweats and their husbands’ shirts. Others feel that pregnancy is a beautiful time and they want to enjoy shopping for clothes and dressing with style. These women often feel the investment is worth it.
A great number of women fall in between these two extremes. We want to look nice, but don’t want to spend a fortune. After all, maternity clothing are worn for a limited time and some can be quite expensive. You don’t need to break the bank to look great throughout your pregnancy. There are some things you can do to save money and build a nice wardrobe.

Back pain is a complaint commonly heard by doctors and midwives during pregnancy. The pain is caused by a combination of factors. As your belly grows, your center of gravity shifts. This changes the way you stand and walk, which puts pressure on the lower back. Other causes of back pain in pregnancy include hormonal changes. This softens the joints and ligaments which helps prepare the body for birth. This is a good thing. However, it has a negative effect as well, back pain.

Aromatherapy offers numerous benefits both during pregnancy and during labor. In pregnancy, aromatherapy is effective for reducing some of the common discomforts of pregnancy. When you are in labor, using essential oils can be helpful for relaxation and pain relief. Aromatherapy helps create a comfortable environment for labor.
Essential oils that are beneficial during pregnancy include lavender, chamomile, rose, ylang ylang and jasmine. Some essential oils are beneficial for morning sickness. Our sense of smell will be more acute during pregnancy. Sometimes cooking odors or other household odors can trigger nausea. Aromatherapy can help reverse this effect. Citrus oils such as orange, lemon and grapefruit are safe and effective for nausea.
