pregnancy beauty tipsPerhaps before you even realized you were pregnant, people commented on your "glow". Pregnancy brings out a woman's natural beauty, and while the weight gain and growing belly may be frustrating, take this opportunity to enjoy the sexy and wonderful things that happen to your body. It's less work than ever to get some of the looks you have been working for anyway! That natural skin's glow is because your body is working overtime on blood production to have enough for two. To keep that glow looking great, it's important to keep your skin moisturized every day, and to exfoliate one or two times a week as well. This will enhance the natural glow and prevent splotchy spots from showing.

Make sure to keep wearing sunscreen as well. Your face (and the rest of your body) need protection from the sun's rays. Not just during pregnancy, but it's more important with your sensitive skin.

Now that your body is pregnant, it seems everything is growing, besides that belly. Your hair may be growing quickly too. Now is a time to practice with a new hairstyle (keep in mind once baby's born low maintenance is best, but now is time to have fun!). If your hair is long, go bold with a short cut. This will make your eyes and face the focus of attention. If your hair is short, it won't take long to let it grow out so you can have fun with the clips and braids.More on Pregnancy Beauty Tips

Miracle of Pregnancy - Pregnant Woman RelaxingAs a mom to four beautiful children, I have learned that pampering yourself isn't selfish, it's essential. Whether this is baby number one or ten, moms fare best when they take care of themselves first – starting with pregnancy. Find the time to relax and recharge, because once your little one is on the outside, finding time to relax will become more of a challenge than ever.

You probably already know that getting enough sleep is important, but with a new baby developing it is even more true. In order to help you sleep better at night, there are a few easy and enjoyable things you can do. Try soaking in a warm tub – not too hot, to get your body to unwind. Add lavender essential oils to enhance the experience. More on Pampering Yourself and Surviving Pregnancy

It's really a no wonder that when you first think of having a baby, you being to think of how wonderful if it will be when you are actually pregnant.

The anticipation of pregnancy usually begins well before you really are pregnant. The joy of being pregnant really starts when you decide that the time is right to have a baby.  As you begin to plan and think that this could be it, you actually skip that menstrual cycle, your heart does a little flutter and the hope within begins to grow. You start to get excited and usually can't wait to take that first pregnancy test. Most women are anxious and nervous all at the same time. blissful and thankful pregnant woman in her last month of pregnancyIf you are anything like me, this is probably the hardest trimester of pregnancy to get through. I say this for a couple of reasons, it is so close to the time that your baby is going to be born that you just can’t stand it. You want to hold him or her, hear the cooing, see the perfect little fingers and toes. I can tell you that this excitement does not go away even when this is your third child.

The second reason I think this is the hardest trimester to get through is because by now, you are feeling pregnant. The aches, the restless nights, this is when you are going to put on the bulk of your weight and frankly, you are just tired of being pregnant. That is where I am at right now, counting down the days. To help, I am going to know tell you what you can expect with your growing baby this trimester and the changes in your body.

Month 7

By now you are feeling the movements of that little acrobat inside you. The movements are going to range from bucking kicks and a flurry of smaller movements. I can tell you from experience that each baby is different. My first child was a wild acrobat that kicked like crazy. My second child really didn’t kick, but stretched all the time. These are different feelings I tell you. It was always fun to watch my second child’s head push up or his feet as he stretched.

Welcome to Your Second Trimester!

pregnant women in her second trimesterAs hard as it may be to believe you are now entering the most exciting phase of pregnancy, at least as far as I am concerned. Of course I enjoy being pregnant until the end of the seventh month and then after that I am tired of being pregnant and want the baby. While a pregnancy is suppose to be 40 weeks long, many last about 35 at the longest.

Anyway, during the second trimester of pregnancy it is time to take a look at what you have to expect. Week by Week things are certainly changing. We are going to go month by month again and let you know about the magic that is happening inside of you and then end with what you are feeling. Hopefully the morning sickness has subsided for you, and that you are getting that burst of energy they say you are suppose to get in the second trimester.

Unless you were trying to conceive, chances are that you found out you were pregnant and you are already about two months along. Don’t worry, if that is the case you haven’t missed much with the growing fetus inside you. I am sure that you have felt everything, while you couldn’t put your finger on it, something was different.
